Think a gallon of petrol is expensive?

So they have you hooked for the ink. Someone calculated the cost of the ink at ... (you won’t believe it ... but it is true ....)

So, the next time you’re at the pump, be glad your car doesn’t run on water, or Tippex, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or, God forbid, Printer Ink!

If you're the deluded sort who drinks bottled water, a gallon would last a week, several weeks or a lifetime in my case. A gallon of petrol lasts what? half an hour to an hour on a long run, depending on the fuel efficiency/engine size of the car?

The last printer ink I bought was 6 x 0.5 litres for £10 odd, so I guess that was a bargain. I wouldn't use a bottle of water a year, even if I bathed in it.

I don't see why fule should cost me in Yorknutse £1.35, when in Devon it only cost £1.25 I have just come back from seeing my son, and was shocked at how much cheaper it was down there.
It was that price everywhere, not just at the supermarkets.. why should it make a difference, its the same island

I think the price of Petrol at the pumps largely depends on how far the filling stations are from the refinery.
