(In UK petrol is about £6.20/gallon) COMPARING THE PRICE OF PETROL THIS WILL MAKE YOU THINK!
Compared with Petrol... Think a gallon of petrol is expensive?
This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.
Diet Coke 16 oz £1.29 ............ £10.32 per gallon.
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz £1.19 ............ £9.52 per gallon.
Ocean Spray 16 oz £1.25 ............. £10.00 per gallon.
Brake Fluid 12 oz £3.15 .............. £33.60 per gallon.
Vick’s Nyquil 6 oz £8.35 ......... £178..13 per gallon. Pepto Bismol 4 oz £3.85 ............ £123.20 per gallon.
Tippex 7 oz £1.39 .......................... £5.42 per gallon.
And this is the REAL KICKER. Evian water 9 oz £1.49 ……….. £21.19 per gallon.
£21.19 for WATER and the buyers don’t even know the source.
(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)
You don’t even want to compare it with Perfume, After Shave Or Alcohol Ever wonder why printers are so cheap? So they have you hooked for the ink. Someone calculated the cost of the ink at ... (you won’t believe it ... but it is true ....) £5,200 per gallon. (Five thousand two hundred pounds) So, the next time you’re at the pump, be glad your car doesn’t run on water, or Tippex, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or, God forbid, Printer Ink! If you don’t pass this along to at least one person, your exhaust will fall off!!

Sponsored by some oil company no doubt
If you're the deluded sort who drinks bottled water, a gallon would last a week, several weeks or a lifetime in my case. A gallon of petrol lasts what? half an hour to an hour on a long run, depending on the fuel efficiency/engine size of the car?

The last printer ink I bought was 6 x 0.5 litres for £10 odd, so I guess that was a bargain. I wouldn't use a bottle of water a year, even if I bathed in it.

I don't see why fule should cost me in Yorknutse £1.35, when in Devon it only cost £1.25 I have just come back from seeing my son, and was shocked at how much cheaper it was down there. It was that price everywhere, not just at the supermarkets.. why should it make a difference, its the same island

They are still living in the 19th century down that way. £1.25 is a lot of money to someone who thinks Queen Victoria is still ruling.

I think the price of Petrol at the pumps largely depends on how far the filling stations are from the refinery.

No, the price of petrol depends on how far away the next filling station is.....
