If yesterday was my lucky day, today definitely isn't Made the effort to get up early to go to the cattle market. There were only about about a third of the usual stalls but I did spot an Alienware case that was a prime candidate for coming home with me. Unfortunately it was on the one stall where he's a bit of dreamer and likes to charge at least double what everyone else does. I enquired about the price and he said £35 I was willing to go £20 but he wasn't interested even when I pointed out the lock on the front of case - minus keys of course and the missing graphics card. That didn't really bother me, but it did point to a rather empty inside. If they were willing/able to remove the graphics card, it was pretty certain any RAM or hard drives would also be gone. It's also a monster of a case I didn't really fancy carrying anyway So I trudged off with an empty bag for probably only the second time in all the years I've been going. The road was all compacted snow, so I took what I thought would be a safer route through virgin snow - wrong I stepped in a pothole, fell over and badly twisted my ankle I managed to limp/hobble my way home and my ankle now resembles an orange and throbs quite a bit

What a day for you so far Mikkh. Wish I could be there to help you out, make you dinner, do your laundry... etc, but I'm sure you will manage. Hope you get better soon.

So you wont be joining me for an early 10 mile run for a few days then Mikk, I will have to go alone. You wont want to be going up and down your mountain very often, hope you have got plenty tins of custard in. You will have to get your daughter running around, with Christmas coming up she shouldn't be hard to bribe.
Get well soon Mate.

Must be a bad fracture Mikk, normally they keep you waiting so long a break heals while your waiting.. That A&E got to be the worst department in the hospital. Once you past the desk you have to see about 3 specialist nurses, before you ever get to see a doctor. The doctors are out having a round of golf, while you being messed about by the nurses.

They've plastered me to just below my knee, so to add insult to injury I'm going to have to mutilate my new jeans I only bought last week before I can get undressed. Either that or wear the same jeans and underwear for weeks!
In fact I'd better do it now, because it will really annoy me if I drag myself upstairs, then find I have to come back down to fetch scissors
I'll be fine, thanks for the good wishes

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your leg Mikkh.
If it's not too late.....If you unpicked the inside seam of your jeans leg, (that's not usually a double one), you will probably be able to get to get it sewn up again easily.

Should have asked a sailor Mikk, sailors are jean mutilation experts. Outward bound jeans had turnups and homeward bound jeans didn't. The jeans became cutoffs on the tropical coast and the turnups gave enough material to sew the legs back on homeward bound . Ships molls on the Aussie coast turned cutoff jeans into mini skirts. Sea stories that landlubbers dont know if they are true or not.

Another pair of jeans? Yeah I've got lots and a big pile I keep as only fit for fishing because of various problems - so I'll be using some of those

Really sorry to hear that mikkh.
But on the bright side, you'll be around, so much more for us.
There now, doesn't that make you feel a whole lot better?
Does for me.
All the best mate.
