I have just found this in Synaptic "BleachBit" i think it's like "C Cleaner" have you try it and if you have is it safe?
I have not tried it yet

Yes it's like ccleaner, but obviously tailored to Linux
It's not as user friendly as ccleaner, but it does the same job.
I've seen it in several distros, but never bothered checking it out - till now, because I assumed it was something else
So thanks for pointing it out, it's just helped me get rid of other language files I don't use - or want on my system
Cheers
'localisations' is the only thing I've deleted so far, but it looks safe to use and doesn't let you do anything silly or critical if you run it as a user

Be careful with it though - delete temp files is an ultra safe option in Windows, but some files in Linux do live permanently in the temp directory - I think I've just zapped my licence agreement in Suse Linux !
I'll find out when I reboot, shouldn't be too tragic if I have - hopefully
It does warn you on most things though and tells you if an option might take a while, like cleaning free space
