Recently I have been getting the Virus Vista Antivirus 2010 popping up and I don't know why, I have Avast, I have Malwarebytes Antivirus, I have SuperAntispyware. It sometimes goes when I reboot or when I restore, but why do I have to? It is so inconvienient and bloody annoying
Thank you for any help... Eileen x

You need to update Malwarebytes Antimalware Eileen, then turn off your System Restore and reboot into Safe Mode. Then run Malwarebytes and then Super Antispyware. MBAM should get rid of it, but it wont hurt to run SAS as well. When its all clean, reboot and turn System Restore on again.
You always have to update MBAM before using it, it doesn't update itself.

Ken I've done everything you suggested, the only thing didn't know how to do was switch off and on the restore thingy ;D but I did everything else which I am so pleased about because I haven't a clue sometimes. Scanning is going on and it is picking up a few things. I think this will do the trick but I really wonder why it has happened in the first place, it really puzzles me. [ps I am not blonde]
Nanite and thank you once again...

I think Malwarebytes will scan the System Restore files without turning it off, but turning it off makes sure it does. Thats why it keep coming back, these nasties hide in the restore files knowing they were safe from scans.
You didn't say what OS you are using, so I'm not sure what to tell you to do to turn off System Restore. I'm using Win7 and its all different, I'm not sure if Vista is the same. If your using XP its different. I think if you right click on My Computer and select Properties you will find it. XP its right there, but Vista you might have to click on Security then Configure. Its in Computer Properties on all versions of Windows, but you might have to look for it.

I've only suffered three infections ever. One was my own stupid fault for running an unknown program, one was that worm that crippled half the world and the final one a variant of what you're suffering from. It really is a nasty little beast and I've no idea how I caught it either. That was about the time when I became a full time Linux user instead of a part time one. If you want to be totally sure it's gone and it hasn't dragged in anything else while it was active, try this download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exeSome earlier versions had a slight problem with Vista, where it destroyed the desktop wallpaper after being used Save the file to the root of the C drive before running it (open the drive and just plonk it there i.e not inside a folder) if the wallpaper bug appears, you can fix it with this command C:\combofix.exe /u

Your welcome Eileen. MBAM should have done it; but if it hasn't, you know what to tell hubby to do.
