If your connecting direct to the modem Tuesday, I would install Comodo and forget about Windows firewall. If your using a router, you dont need one as there's a built in hardware firewall.

I agree with Ken - a hardware firewall in the shape of a router, is the best bet A lot of ADSL modems are a combined router and modem in one unit - check the back of the modem to see if it has several network ports. If it has, it's a combined modem/router
Cable modems are different though, the router is nearly always a separate piece of hardware you have to add yourself
A hardware firewall (router) is superior in many ways
1) No or very tiny amount of resources used unlike even the lightest of software firewalls 2) Works quicker because it's hardware not software 3) No yearly updates to buy or nagging you to get the 'pro' version to start that vicious circle 4) allows easy sharing of your connection - wired or wirelessly
Even if you've only got a single PC, a router is a much better firewall solution You can still run the XP firewall if you like. It is very light on resources at least - and protection unfortunately, but it will stop the security centre nagging

Even if your not running a network, if you look at the sales you can often pick up a Belkin router for just under £30 and it will last you forever. They give you a lifetime guarantee with them. Thats if your on cable. The software helps you to set them up, so even thats a doddle and you only need to remember a password to keep the wireless safe.

It's more likely to be Comodo that needs setting up rather than the router Tueday. The only time a router can give bother is when setting up a NAS connection and your not doing that. Your best bet is to get rid of Comodo; unless its needed on a laptop, for when its on an open network. Even then you can turn it off and only use it away from home. As you talk about a PC, I presume its a desktop and Comodo isn't needed. My rule is dont run anything unless you have to. I have Comodo on my laptop, but it only runs if I'm away from home. It can be a bit bossy, until you get it set right and that's probably where the trouble is.
