"Forget lipsticks, purses and glittery key rings. Laptops could soon be the latest must-have in every girl’s handbag. Elonex, a small British computer maker, will start selling its £99 ‘netbooks’ - part of a new generation of small and cheap laptops from February. The move is in an attempt to win over a new generation of female shoppers by making laptop computers that are small enough to fit into a handbag. The screens are just seven inches wide, the keyboard is slightly smaller than a normal laptop keyboard."

Wow that would be great I have wanted a notebook for ages but they are too pricey just now if they do bring them out for £99 I may have a chance of getting one.

Sounds good, but there's no mention of the OS supplied - which I assume will be Linux at that price point
The writer of the article seems to be a bit confused about memory and storage (hard drive space) though
** The Elonex websurfer has just 2GB of memory – not that much more than a good mobile phone – and a thirtieth of what most full-blown laptops contain. **
They mean hard drive space, probably in SSD (Solid State Drive) format
I very much doubt it will have 2 GB of RAM, more likely to be 512 MB, or even less than that
