Some of you have said that you miss being able to easily have a certain colour and font in the messages you type like you were able to do in MSN Groups As you know, for this site, you would have to add the code each time, whether manual or using the icons above, so to make it easier for you all, I have added a code to solve all that. You need to click on Profile (at the top of the page) then click on Modify Profile. Scroll down to 'Posting Fonts Prefs'
Copy and paste this part into the space next to 'Begin'...change the color, size and font to your own choice....

Put this code in the space next to 'End'.....

You can remove the centre tags if you do not wish your text to be centred like mine....I have added them just to show you what can be done.
Once you have done that, scroll down your Profile page and click Modify Post.
There is more that you can do eg. use the Bold tag or change the colour of your font half way through your message etc, but the above is the basic to get you started. Now each time you type a message, it will be in the format of your choosing (previous postings won't change)
Please set your profile and leave 'your first new fancy message' here, so that I can see that it is working ok

I hope this works. This coding for ProBoards is weird. I wish they would fix the problem with links that are over 21 characters in length. Why can't they just accept regular HTML?

Type your word or sentence, highlight the part you want to colour, click the drop down arrow above and choose your colour.
hello
or use the code you used without the inverted commas
hello

Tip three......modify your font size and colour.
Having typed your message if your in the quick reply, just click on post reply, then find your message and click on the modify button top left. Now highlight the words you wish to change font size, and click on the icon with the A and up and down arrows, this will put the font code each side of the highlighted text, now you can change the number in the code higher or lower. If you want now to change the colour as well just highlight the words again only the words, then click on the other A and choose the colour from the drop down menu, this will insert the code.............now just modify post and hey presto it's done!!
You can do all these things at once by: !. Highlight. 2 Hold down the ctrl key and click on each icon you wish to carry out. 3. Hit Modify Post..................done.

Tip four...............change font face.
I always use quick reply to type in my messages, so if you do also, you will know that you must use the modify icon to gain use of the tools. We assume you are in the box with the tools above now. highlight your text hit the font face icon and it will show the code for your font and usually displays with the default verdana, now delete the word verdana and change it to an official font like Comic Sans MS........when you post your message it will show with the new font, please do not use very uncommon fonts as it will revert to default font.

Even if you do not use this in your profile, could some of you check to have a look to see if you can see this in your 'Modify Profile' part as mine has stopped working.

Thanks Nocky...I have spent ages on the imageshack and font problem, but I cannot find anything wrong. I have even tried the codes on my test forum and the font code does not show/work in Profiles and the imageshack uploader has stopped working as it did before with the Add to Post button. At least I know that it cannot be my codes at fault as the test forum has no codes whilst I tested out those two codes. Grrrrrrrr....maybe an MSN glitch? Whoops, nope, we are no longer there are we lol

Found some more information...Proboards upgraded to numberless URLs which must have caused a problem with the font pref code. We used to be computertypes.proboards23.com/index.cgi We are now the same but without the number 23 It explains why the Imageshack Uploader does not work as it did either, but I have emailed Imageshack Support and one of the guys there has offered to look into the code to see if he can get it working as before.

No, I don't think so. I think it is just because they took out numbered URL's
