Hello everyone. Having got my computer up and running ok thanks to all the advice I received in another section, I am now having trouble printing. I have a new Epson Stylus SX200 and it's taking ages for the computer and printer to comunicate with each other. At least 5 minutes before anything prints! I have had an error message pop up saying: Internet Explorer Script Error Line 2570 Error: Permission denied Code: 0 URL res://ieframe.dll/preview.js Could anyone tell me what the cause is likely to be and how to put things right please? I recently installed Comodo but nothing else that I can think of. Comodo security is set to Safe Mode ... is that too cautious or is that the default setting? I haven't a clue as to whether the printer problem is linked to that though Many thanks, Julie.

Are you sure you have got it plugged into a USB2 port Julie, they say you will get bother if it only plugged into a USB1 port. You should go into the BIOS, check under Peripherals and see that the USB is set to High Speed. A lot of USB ports are only USB1 by default in the BIOS and have to be set to high speed to bring them up to USB2,

Hi Ken. My instruction manual tells me all 8 are USB2 ports. Do I still need to go into BIOS and, if so, how do I do that please?
Also meant to mention that my cursor is moving all over the place!
Thank you, Julie.

Problem solved but don't know how! I thought back to when the problem started with the printer and could only think of Comodo being installed so I removed that but then I also found that Windows Firewall was also active so maybe they were competing against each other? Do you think it may just have been the two firewalls causing the problem as everything is back to normal speed now thanks goodness!
Thanks for taking the time to help, Julie.

Could be Julie, you should disable Windows firewall when you install Comodo. You never have 2 firewalls or 2 antivirus programs running, or you get trouble. Comodo is a proper firewall, Windows isn't really worth anything. If you had a router and not just a modem, you wouldn't need either one. I run Comodo on my laptop and connect wirelessly to the HP network printer, never had a bit of trouble with it. I put Comodo on 3 of my friends computers, who have Epson printers and have never had trouble.

Thanks Ken. To be honest, I hadn't given a thought to Windows Firewall as it was always disabled on my last computer. When I took this one over I just put Zonealarm on and forgot to disable the Windows one ubtil I was advised to install Comodo. That's when I began having problems but I realise now that the two were probably conflicting so Comodo is reinstalled. Hooray!
My thanks as always Ken, Julie.
