H! Mikkh, When i booted my PC into mint today all my folders from the right hand side of my desktop was under my icons on the left hand side of my screen. Any idears Thanks

Nope, it should save your icons where you placed them. The option to save my settings (when you log out) is usually ticked by default, so unless you unticked it by accident or didn't log out properly somehow - they should be saved in the correct position
I never have that problem myself because I hate clutter and would move all those folders into the home folder (Linux's variation of 'My Documents') and move most of the desktop icons to the taskbar

Well i am using my folders at the moment and have to have them there for easy access when working on them so i can open them and move my files from one to the other much easy for me to sort them out that way ;D As for the folders and icons they seem to be staying put after i rebooted a few time so no worries now. Thanks
