A Useful piece of free software is called freefilesync sourceforge.net/projects/freefilesync/Writeup and screen shots on web site tipsandtricksforpc.com/?p=2417Version available for Linux Once installed you can backup any set of files or folders nested to any depth. Once initial backup has been taken then subsequent backups will only backup changed or new files/folders. The files will be backed up if the date or size changes You can set up predefined backup sets which can be stored under a name which can be accessed when required.. Unlike some backup programs the backup is a true copy of the original such that you can access any file in the backup and change it. The next time you run the program the changed file in the backup will be copied back to the original source. Deleting a file in the source will delete the file in the backup and put it in the recycle bin. I tend to run this software every few days as it only takes a few seconds to run.
