Here we are with Lynnrose's idea of everyone having a go at changing the same pic. So in honour of said LR , here's a Rose from my garden. (untouched original apart from resizing. Let's see what you can do with it. ;D ) and this is what I managed to do with Paint.NET, but I'm sure you can all do it better.

I used both Paint Shop and Photoshop to get this "painted " effect.

That is similar to the one way I used. YOur rose looks more luminous in the centre.

I noticed the similarity Angel, I fiddled around with Highlights & Shadows and Hue &Saturation to get the luminous effect. Just trial and error as usual. ;D Hey LR , that's real cool.

Dali had curliques on his face as well Nocky and he was in meltdown all the time. I love his work, he must have had a great sense of humour.

Lovely Elvis
Note to Nocky........successful this thread, maybe because it's an easier way for people to have a go rather than doing something from scratch.

That's a great effect LR , what did you use? I think you're correct about folks finding it easier to work with an already created image, we'll carry on with that format and see how it goes. ;D Hey elvis , good effort, well done.

I think we might all be able to contribute basic pictures for use.

Good idea, maybe Nocky can begin a thread for members to start 'donating' one of their own pictures and then he can pick one for the weekly topic, that way we will have pictures that are 'legal' to use. So, once he has a thread started, we can add to it as often as we like, so there will be a chance for all our pictures to be used at some stage.
