I don't watch them (anymore), the last time I caught a glimpse of 'Emmerdale' Granddad was still alive, Ken Barlow looked young in Constipation Street and Kylie was just an average actress in Neighbours who only sang in the shower

My preference is "0ther" Neighbours. I can't stand all the incessant shouting in Eastenders.

I have to go along with mikkh here, last time I suffered through a full "Corrie" episode, (under heavy duress) Ena and Elsie were still the "Soap Queens". ;D

The nearest I've come to a soap opera is watching Nurse Jackie on iPlayer, a gritty comedy drama that's far more believable than British soaps - well worth checking out IMO
