You would have looked royal with a pink one Elvis. I know a feller with a pink one and he's a right old queen. I bought a Samsung GT-S5230 Tocco the other day, best phone I've had. Its black, pink doesn't really suit my image.

Great little phone for the money. My daughter has had hers a few months now and hasn't dropped any hints about needing/wanting a new one for Xmas - so it must be good!

I bought a Nokia E71 last February and I love it, I will not be changing it for quite some time. I have had Sony Ericsson, and others, but I always come back to Nokia, brilliant 'phones.

I've just retired my Motorola V3 (well in fact my fifth V3) and guess what colour the last one was......yep PINK. I had a little tear in my eye as it was consigned to the 'never to be used again drawer'. As a phone it was everything I wanted in a mobile phone. But I have had to give in and as my daughter tells me, 'Come into the 21st Century'.
The replacement, a Nokia 5800 on a new deal that includes unlimited internet access, and I must admit, I'm hooked. It's got all the things on it I have been saying for years I would never need from a phone, decent camera, good media playback, widescreen video and mp3 player, G3, GPRS, satnav and maps......the list goes on. And in the week I've had it I have wondered how I ever managed without all that stuff before......I said about a month ago I would never buy one of those touch screen phones...Ha!

Well i like my touch screen it's a bit fiddly for me as i am not use to it and I'm still reading the manual (that's a first for me) i am trying too find out what memory it takes i think it is m200 but it dose not say anything in the manual it has 64mb built in, i shall have to keep looking.

It takes a standard MicroSD card like these www.web-systems.co.uk/?page=Products&pid=3542Maximum size is reported to be 4 GB for that phone, but I put an 8 GB one in my daughters and it recognised it 1 GB = approximately 100 good quality MP3's

I just loaded about a dozen short videos onto mine and got to admit, they don't look half bad.
If you want to convert video for a portable device, after much searching (remember I do video for a living and have quite a lot of pro video programs) I came across a freebie on the net called Format Factory. So far I have been so impressed. Very easy to use, great range of options, even has a preset for my Nokia 5800 as well as lots of other devices and produces good results and quickly....highly recommend.
Does loads of other stuff but haven't got around to trying all that yet.
Get it here......http://www.pcfreetime.com/

(karma added) Sounds like it should be in the useful utilities section then
Lynnrose would move it for you, but I'm not that nice - actually I'm in a rush, but I've had a quick look and I'm impressed by the honest/useful FAQ's and lack of poorly disguised begging attempts to donate that usually appear in most freeware FAQ's

Well my daughter actually refused the 8 GB one I offered her (which I got in a job lot of PC parts I bought btw) and opted to keep the 1 GB one I got free with my phone, but donated to her instead.
Still with me?
What I'm saying is, if a (music mad) 12 year old thinks 1 GB is enough, then 8 GB will probably never be used - 4 or even 2 should be plenty for most people.
It's a decent recognised brand though and too much space is obviously better than running out, so it's up to you

NP, There is a chance an 8 GB one may not be recognised as well, seeing as the official maximum supported size is 4 GB, so it's probably wiser to stick within those confines

Samsung software doesn't seem to work on 64 bit. With the adapter, I can stick it in the computer and load everything on the card. Then take the little card out of the adapter and put it in the mobile. You dont need any silly software to do it that way.

The Beast doesn't recognise the mobile Elvis. Samsung have got software that is supposed to put that right, but it doesn't work with 64 bit. By plugging the micro card in using the adapter, any computer will recognise the card as another flash drive. Then you can drag and drop all your music and clips into it, then the phone can use them once the micro card is put back in. Most phones that use a regular mini USB, the card is picked up by the computer. It seems that these phones that use a special USB lead, the computer doesn't always see the card. You dont get readers for micro cards, but the adapters allow you use them in standard readers. I could install Bluetooth on The Beast and make it easier to transfer from one to the other, but I cant be bothered.

It dont matter Elvis. If the phone can take up to 8 gig, its SDHC, which can read either. Its only SD devices that cant read SDHC cards.

H! KC,
Whats an SD devices ( Sorry but i have not got my head around this yet) so i can buy a Kingston 4GB MicroSDHC Card (Class 4) and it will work in my Mobil ?
"If the phone can take up to 8 gig" Mikkh says 4 GB but i cannot find anythig in the manual that says anything about how much memory it tacks, it says on the box SD Memory and i dose not say how much memory the mobiles got and that's why i keep asking ;D
Thanks

Everything I have read, it says it will take up to 4 Gb Elvis. In that case play safe and get an SD, as they can be either one or the other. If its SDHC it can still read an SD, but if its SD it wont read a SDHC. I thought someone said it took 8 gig, but I cant see anywhere that it say it will. My Tocco Lite takes 8 gig, but it tells you that in the manual.
