Well That's it, all over for another year....what a lame winning single. I think all the old grandmothers must have been out voting this weekend. Winner prediction, couple of singles, a lame album with about 50% cover versions, then an offer to appear in a West End show, exactly where he should be, very good singer (if you like that sort of thing) but boring as hell. Did he do any up tempo numbers for the whole series?
Humbug

Not impressed, he was outsung (and outperformed) all night IMO - especially on the 'new' single which Olly did much better. It was a bit of a fix anyway, the votes carried on from the previous night instead of being based on the final performances alone.
.... Still, Susan Boyle (don't you just hate that cringing 'subo' tag the media have inflicted on her) has risen to stardom from finishing second in 'Britains got talent' and hopefully Olly will get his chance too.
Did you watch her story straight after X factor? Brilliant! I was waiting for (and hoping she didn't make) a mistake, but she was virtually flawless

I enjoyed the final though Olly in my opinion should have gone ages ago... sorry Mikkh, Olly is not a strong singer and all that silly dancing made me cringe... anyway well done Joe. ;D What I tend to do is close my eyes and listen to them singing that way you can imagine them singing on the radio, Joe was the best.
Mikkh I watched Susan Boyle after XFactor and thought it was wonderful, it's made me want to go back and see Les Mis again... well done Susan and I loved her frocks

I agree with Elvis. All that noise, raucous shouting in the audience and then again in the respective home towns. Then all those sweeping and flashing lights, the whole presentation is naff. I am pleased that Joe won over that "I love myself" Olly.
Eileen, I also agree with you - Stacey should have won it she is a lovely girl and IMO a very nice voice too.
The Susan Boyle show was amazing, Susan deserves her success and fame.
