The amount of tergiversation by Members of Parliament recently has been a phenomenal increase on their usual bletherings.

Prestidigitation ~ quite a favourite word of mine. Came across it in my early teens when I was studying French at school, and I last used it yesterday. A user's computer needed a simple fix of a few keystrokes. Q: "How did you do that?" A: "Prestidigitation!" It gets a laugh.

My " pule" for today, "why can I never remember the name of Melbourne's river?, I must have got it wrong at least half a dozen times in the Trivia Quiz".
Must be some sort of mental blockage.

Dont pule Nocky, I'm pretty sure its the Yarra River. Then up a bit you have got the Murrey River which is the border between Victoria and New South Wales.

Hi Ken, right at this moment in time, I KNOW that the Yarra is the river that runs through Melbourne, but you can bet your boots that the next time the question comes up on the Trivia Quiz, I'll go right ahead and answer,"Murray"or "Darling" or whatever, and know I'm right. Yarra just wont be considered, there's a blind spot where Yarra should be, and I'm b******d if I know why. It seems the brain cell whose job it was to remember the fact has departed this mortal coil.
I guess I'll just have to try putting a"sticky" on the screen to remind me. ;D
