Lol, that was a 3 minute film and hasn't quite turned out like they were suggesting for 20 years time.
Off to watch this one now, just 6 minutes long...

I refuse to watch anything presented by that Raymond Baxter. He promised me by the year 2000 I would have a flying car and be wearing skin tight tin foil suit living in a house made of nothing but plastic because it was going to be so cheap. Where is my flying car?

I love watching those old programs, they are so far out its crazy.
There are 2 lovely flying cars out this year MM, and they are very cheap if your a millionaire.
I prefer the amphibious cars best; not as fast as the flying ones, but at least you don't need a flying license and it sure beats swimming to France.

I wouldn't, but its only about 20 minutes drive to get to a civilised country from Calais. Then you have whole of northern Europe in front of you. In fact with an amphibious car you have most of the world within your reach.

An amphibious car is not a lot of use if you wnat to go to Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Andora, Armenia, Ausria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Vatican City, Hungary, Leichenstein, Luxembourg, Moldova, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Macedonia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Krygyzsatn, Loas, Mongilia, Nepal, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, West Bank, Paraguay or Bolivia is it?

Most of those countries are about as appealing as a bad case of piles MM. Probably the only exception is Switzerland, which has some beautiful lakes.
