Been a bit busy the last few days, and realised this morning that I didn't have a subject for this weeks Project. Then I remembered how much I liked Angel's castle a couple of weeks ago, and "Bingo", saved. (Thanks Angel ) So there you go, Castles, Fortresses, Palaces, even Sandcastles if they're good. ;D I did this in a hurry with Photoshop brushes.

Thank you folks, but the computer is doing all the work, I just press the buttons. ;D Did this with RealWorld Paint.COM, another handy little Freebie. www.rw-designer.com/image-editor for those interested

This was just an experiment, and I don't think I could repeat this effect of a derelict fort on a rocky island. Did the painting in RealWorld Paint, then fiddled about with Photshop filters for a while. ;D

I thought you might like to see a before and after. This is a photo I took of Dudley Castle. And this is after I played with it.

That is very good Angel, I like the subdued colours, and the effect is eye-catching.

Just as a matter of interest, (if anyone is ;D) this is the original painting I did, before mucking around with filters.

As there's not much being posted, here's one I did using Photoshop brushes, filters, and textures,

Do you use a mouse, or a digital pen and pad?

I just use my laptop touchpad Angel, but I also used a cloud texture and Castle Photoshop brush, both re-sizable. It was just a matter of composing the picture and painting the foreground, then playing with the filters, shadows and highlights, colours, and that's it. ;D Here's the texture and brush I used.

That is some brush. TBH, I don't like those little touchpads on laptops.
