 have any thoughts on best way. Will be visiting OZ next year for 5 weeks  , and would like the best and cheapest way to use a mobile phone when I'm there. I have Pay & Go at the moment.. would i have to buy a new mobile once in OZ ?  Thank you for your help Tuesday

You could buy - or maybe free - an Australian pay-as-you-go sim card , send to the person in the UK so they can send messages to your UK sim from the Australian sim in UK
Does that make sense?
So, you can text from Australia using UK sim
Friend in UK uses Australian sim in UK to receive your texts
I don't know what the post is like though.

7 days to NZ by air mail so Australia is only next door so i reckon 5 to 6 day to NZ?

Could i buy a OZ sim card ( once we are there ) and use from my UK mobile ? I wont be using my mobile to contact UK. My daughter lives in OZ and i need to be able to contact her daily while I'm there.  Tuesday |
