I have been using Internet Explorer 7 since it was introduced as a 'host' for Maxthon browser very successfully. However over the last couple of days one of the sites I visit each day only loads very occasionally if I am lucky. It is a 'Freewebs' Group which can be tempremental from time to time. I get this enigma on 2 machines. ALL other websites I visit regularly work flawlessly, so I can only assume it is the site itself that is in question, although other members of this group don't seem to have this problem from what I can gather? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you upgrade to IE8 Buzzy, you will probably find things will load better. It seems quite a few websites have upgraded and dont work very well without v. 8.

Ken - thanks for your sugestion. Whereas I have the utmost respect for your expertise on such matters, I don't have any problems with IE7/Maxthon in general, just this particular site. Incidentally I can log on to the WEBS homepage ok, it is just the particular group that baulks, and yet other members don't seem to have this problem? www.webs.com/

I have never used Maxthon Buz and I usually use MSN Premium browser. MSN is on a IE core and unless I have got IE 8 installed some sites dont work properly. I only noticed this in the last week or so and have only just upgraded to IE 8 myself. I have run out of ideas now. Best of luck mate, there must be someone who knows what the score is.

Some of the fixes mentioned here might help Buzzy, in particular checking any plugins (Skype or others) you might have installed.

Roz - Thanks. That link delivers a blank page. I have done a bit of Googling and it may be something to do with Google Maps (which I used a few days ago), but I am in the dark with that possibility.
Ken - It is apparently a known problem. I am reticent to download IE8, it seems it can cause some further problems with XP according to 'Fixes' on Google.

It seems to be working OK for me Buzz, but I'm running XP x 64. I know there was a lot of trouble with it at first on XP, I thought they would have fixed it by now though.

You need to spread your wings a bit and try different browsers. I prefer Firefox, but I usually have several alternatives installed - mostly for cases like yours when I think the site isn't behaving for some reason.
The average browser is a 10 MB download and doesn't interfere with others, so there's no reason not to have several installed.
I happen to be in Windows for a change, so I'm currently downloading Maxthon to see what all the fuss is about. It does seem to incite brand blindness more than any other browser for some reason.
'Flock' is a decent 'lite' alternative to Firefox btw and Opera is always a good choice if you want several to choose from

Thanks Ken.Roz, Mikkh.
I have finally solved the problem, I ran "RegscrubXP" and that sorted it. Many thanks for your suggestions.
