[bg=pink]Update: 12th April 2009
This uploader is no longer in use. Please go here to find details on its' replacement |

I have added an Image uploader for your messages. When you have your message window open, click on the 'Browse' button above the message window. Find the image that you have saved on your computer. Click the 'Host It' button. Imageshack will then host your picture and you can add it to your message by putting a tick next to the code that looks like this... Now click the 'Add to Post' button.

Why such a small limit on the upload amount? 5.0 KB is nothing. LOL

I have added an Image uploader for your messages.
When you have your message window open, click on the 'Browse' button above the message window. Find your picture. Click the 'Host It' button.
Imageshack will then host your picture and you can add it to your message by putting a tick next to the code that looks like this...

Now click the 'Add to Post' button.

Hi Lynnrose, I think this is a brilliant add in for proboards. My co manager on our proboard site is also having problems with pb, and I wondered if you could show me where I can get the information to add imageshack as an add in picture uploader for us.

Hi Lynnrose, Ive placed the code i think correctly, because I do get the line, browse to and host, but when i click host it, the pop up i get doesnt look like the one i get when posting in CIT. Ill work it out at some point, but Im so out of practise with pc stuff lately i think im getting left behind.

Funnily enough, I gave the code to Buzzy for his site and he had trouble with it and gave up using it I believe. Wonder why that is

Odd that, it is nothing like CIT's version. I have checked my code and it is the same as the one you have.

Hi LR - Jj. Nope I never could master that code for some strange reason. I have been having a few problems with Photobucket too recently notwithstanding their temporary shutdown for 'maintenance' I use TinyPic more and more now and is has never let me down. I simply have PB,TP etc: on a tab on Maxthon works a treat.

Since this morning, I now get the same as you Jj on CIT, so the Imageshack uploader is acting odd and also I and others have lost Font Preferences in our profile.

Update............been working on both problems, Imageshack Uploader and Font Preferences and no joy. Seems odd that both stopped working as they should today, so as I have been tryin out the codes on my test forum, (no other codes there to get muddled up with these two) I must come to the conclusion that this is a glitch, similar to good old MSN

Found some more information...Proboards upgraded to numberless URLs which must have caused a problem with the font pref and the Imageshack Uploader We used to be computertypes.proboards23.com/index.cgi We are now the same but without the number 23 It explains why the Imageshack Uploader does not work as it did either, but I have emailed Imageshack Support and one of the guys there has offered to look into the code to see if he can get it working as before.
Jj & Buzzy, so now we know why CIT's uploader behaved differently to your uploaders...we had a number in our URL, whereas your forums were new and therefore did not.

Thanks LR. No worries because I find TinyPic so reliable I am using that as an alternative to both PB and IS.
