I've been so overwhelmed by the sheer genius of KC on another thread, I'm almost afraid to post my pathetic daubs here. However, here we go. I took an old pic of a Rose into Painter 11, and made it into a painting using Quick Clone. I finished it in Photoshop Filters. Let's see what you can do with this weeks subject, Roses. I'm not very happy with that first attempt, it seemed much better before posting. Here's another version that might appeal more, this time done only with Photoshop filters.

I think I prefer the second one.

I think you did a great job of the first one Nocky, it really looks like a painting. The second one although a lovely picture, looks like a doctored photo. They are both excellent examples of what you can do, depending on whether you want a graphic or a painting. You should copyright them, like I'm thinking of doing with mine. I dont want Damien Hirst to start sticking his name on my pictures, even if they might sell a bit quicker.

Thanks for your kind comments Ken, don't think I'll bother copyrighting them though, I'd be quite chuffed if anyone thought they were worth nicking. ;D

Well, I couldn't get going with this. I just couldn't get motivated to do something 'rosie' so I took the easy way out and did a rose background.
The first red rose Sent out of season The second red rose Sent for no reason The third red rose Sent for happiness and health The fourth red rose Sent for gaining life's wealth The fifth red rose Sent for gaining new friends The sixth red rose Sent for guiding you through life's bends The seventh red rose Sent for praying you never tire The eighth red rose Sent for giving you all of your desire's The ninth red rose Sent for your happiness in love The tenth red rose Sent for hoping I'm your turtledove The eleventh red rose Sent for igniting passion and fire The twelve red rose Sent for hoping I'm your desire Source

Well, I did this in Irfanview with several different filters. I'm waiting for my copy of Windows 7 RTM to install my graphics programs, so this is the best I can do right now. LOLAttachments:
