"Ten days left to buy traditional lightbulbs: EU ban means only low-energy ones will be on sale"
Read here...
I thought we could post any good deals we find for energy savings bulbs etc
I use two energy saving bulbs at the moment. I have had them for a very long time. One on the landing and one in the hall, but I have loads of spotlights sort of bulbs that will need updating at some stage, these ones for example, 40w R50 Spotlight Small Edisonscrew

Every light bulb in my house is of the low energy type, I have been using them for about 3 years and the saving has been significant.

I'll have to get down the market tomorrow and get enough old style 150 watt bulbs to keep me going. Terribly un-Green of me I know, but my eyesight being what it is, I really need the stronger light for reading and suchlike tasks. Thanks for the reminder LR , this had slipped my notice.

It's the little spotlights for the uplighter and computer spotlight I need. I thought it was only the 100 watt bulbs going this time round.

We only have one fitting with a curly bulb in and I wouldn't be using it at all but we had a load of freebies, so they go in the outside light and produce a ghastly pale orange light between thunderstorms.
I must stock up on the candle ones and the spotlight ones.

£2 for one lightbulb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, it's only the import of bulbs that has been banned and shops will be able to sell the supplies they already have in stock.
