Thanks guys, works a treat now. Is there a prog to check the DVD player is running as it should ? The reason I am asking this is that I wish to play an online virtual life game but keep getting this pop-up

Go to the video card makers site, and check for driver updates for your card model number John.

I've just run Belarc Advisor to check my video card details and can find nothing that says Video. Is ............."NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X (Microsoft Corporation) [Display adapter]" my video card ?

Ok, I found a download for this. It has said the following " The InstallShieldWizard has successfully installed NVIDIA WINDOWS XP Display drivers. Before you can use the program you must restart your pc."
Now do I save this to a specific place or is it a stand alone program ?

Thats it John, its all done and dusted. Just save the download for when you reinstall, so you have it. Put it on a disk or a pen drive is best. If you save all your drivers, then you are in good shape if anything goes wrong.
