Morning Peepsies, I was wondering if anybody had any experience or knowledge of the above player. I'm not sure where I originally got my bookmark from but it says it just streams through your internet and doesn't need tv card. It was advertized under zdnet so I'm wondering if it is worth downloading, but seeing as its seems to be better than anything I was thinking is it too good to be true so was hoping folks might know of it before I risk it lol downloads.zdnet.co.uk/0,1000000375,39189315s,00.htm Cheers, John (the coward ;D)

Not sure about that one, but I would recommend Zattoo
"Zattoo is real TV on your PC– and it's absolutely free! It's the football game as you chat, the news as you email, and your favorite soap as you pay your bills. Zattoo is also TV when you don't have a TV - it's the channels you want, when you want, where you want."

I can only find this about Zattoo...
I get a black screen with error message “insert smart card”. Where should I insert the smart card?
There is nothing you should do on your side. The smart-card error message relates to a technical problem with a channel on our servers. Such errors should be fixed within a few hours. I get a black screen with error message “Der Dienst sendet nicht oder ist verschlüsselt”.
Broadcasters sometimes have to remove, or black out, programs (mostly sport events) for which they only own limited broadcasting rights. The "Black Screen of Doom", as we call it at Zattoo, is what you experience when programs are blacked out. There is nothing we can do yet to prevent this from happening.
Why not just watch TV Catch up instead? Details here
