There's been a few of these over the years and their main aim is to show doubting Windows users that Linux can be a more than adequate gaming platform. This latest version www.supergamer.org/downloads/Supreme_SuperGamer.torrenthas got a bit more ambitious than previous versions by requiring a dual layer DVD and obviously comes with a lot more games. Most serious gamers will already have the necessary hardware, and it does require something a lot better than average to see it at it's best. Pros Lots of games, that can be run straight from the DVD Proof that Linux can do games Cons Requires a fairly high spec PC - not a problem for most gamers though Needs a dual layer capable drive - not really a problem, as all modern DVD drives should support it. Too many online games for me, but if 'fragging' the free (online) world is your cup of tea, there's lots of options here. If you're running a single core CPU, with less than a GB of RAM and onboard graphics, don't waste your time downloading it though

Yeah, I'm in the same boat - never bought a dual layer DVD blank in my life, never needed to. There are plenty of others though, if you want to try one of those instead distrowatch.com/?newsid=05548That one comes in DVD (normal size) CD and even USB 'pendrive' versions

And here's the list of games included live.linux-gamers.net/?s=gamesThe CD (so called 'lite' version) is supposed to be meant for older PC's, but I know from experience that 'Chromium BSU (a rather nice mouse controlled zapping game) will only play smoothly if on a decent PC with 3D drivers properly installed. Same goes for 'Foo Billiards' which still looks like work in progress rather than a finished game - which is a shame because it could be a superb pool game
