Nice pics phoney, views changed a lot since I used to do my Sunday morning walk along the Embankment way back in the 60s.
It's dull, cloudy, and raining at the moment here in Plymouth, but it's warm, very warm.

Dull but warm and dry here in Nottingham.
If anyone had said they would be taking planes off from where we were parked in the King George V Dock in the 60's, I would have thought they were nuts. The price of a flat in an old warehouse, is nuts. Dont think I would want to live in London again, I dont speak enough languages to find my way round and I'm lost outside the underground.

Non-stop rain since last night, and it's a bit cooler.
I think I'll need a machette to chop down the weeds in the garden, they've grown about a foot taller since yesterday.

We had a good thunder storm this afternoon and its lovely and fresh now. I took a few shots after the storm was over. The sky seems to clearing a bit now, this how it looked at sunset.

I dunno where all the sunshine's gone, but it certainly isn't in Plymouth. Got soaked going to the shop this morning, then got soaked again in the afternoon, when I had to go back for the milk I had forgotten to get. Doesn't look like it's going to improve much for the next few days either, if the forecasters have got it right. Then again, they have been known to get it wrong on occasion, "there will NOT be a hurricane........." ;D

Its not been a bad morning, a bit of cloud about though. I hope the rain stays off, but I doubt it. The motorbike is ready to go and I'm off out in a bit. Thats a sure sign of rain.

It's been pretty miserable down here the last few days, rain seems to have been almost non-stop. We did have quite a nice couple of hours last night, even a bit of sun, but it was back to wind and rain again today.

Well I went out on my bike and sure enough it poured hard while I was at my mates place. After a tricky start I got home alright, even though I got soaked through. Some good came of it, I found out where the wet is shorting out my electrics. Luckily it's under the front of the fairing where I can get at it. I should be able to fix it quite quickly. I want to be able to use my bike when it rains, but I wish it wouldn't rain. I think this year is going to be much like last. I'm waiting to hear about floods now and I dont think I will have long to wait.

It wasn't raining when I wakened up this morning, first time this week. I better get out and do some shopping while it's dry, the forecast says the rain will be back around lunchtime.

The sun has come out for a few minutes, not that its likely to stay out for very long. The wind seems to have dropped a bit as well. Still a few gusts about, but nothing like it was this morning. The schools let all the inmates out next week, so with luck we will have a storm lasting 6 weeks and keep them off the streets. It would be safer if they let all the prisoners out for 6 weeks holiday and locked the kids up. Then we could have some decent weather and go out and enjoy it. The sun has just been obscured by some big black clouds, so I think its going to rain again before long.

Stayed dry for most of the day, but back to normal about teatime. More rain, and looks even worse for the next couple of days, at least. I feel sorry for the poor holiday- makers, maybe we should be calling this part of the country the South Wet.

Its not been a bad day. There's still some big black clouds around, but they seem to be more scattered now. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to what it will be like in the morning.
