Hi

I downloaded the new IE 8 which seems to be ok (for now) except for the annoying live search that keeps opening up.......I have looked at the options for it but cant find a way of turning this off?

I am usung vista and I did try the search but cant get that right either

Any ideas?

in IE8 click tools then manage addons on left click search providers you should see a list of searches click live and down at bottom right there is clickable remove so just click and its one or if you still want it then change the default to the one you do want to display
