What I do is, in Internet Explorer, click on the file tab, then click Print Preview. If the page looks fine then I print it, if not, then I click Print. When the print box opens, click on Preferences, then Features tab and change it to Landscape. Click OK and Print. It should work for you too.

In the end had to copy/paste into Word and print this way.
It's only on certain sites...is there a way i can make web pages smaller.?
Will be trying to sort it out week end,as next week have lots of printing to do.
Thanks LR

No Tuesday, you don't need to upgrade (some members will say that IE7 is much better than IE6...I have IE7 on laptop coz it was already there and IE6 on main PC)
You can use the first program on any.
The second link is just showing how good IE7 seems to be for printing webpages.

By the way, please never apologise. This site is here for this very reason. Without questions and answers we would have to give up on CIT as a waste of time. So never feel shy about asking anything x

Go to the page you want to print and copy the URL (web address) of the page Look in your address bar. Starts with HTTP Right-click and choose Copy Paste in to the space where they are requesting the URL (hit Ctrl and V on your keyboard, or right-click in the space and choose paste.
Just looking now, tried it and on the left it says,
Your browser is not currently supported:( This site runs best on Firefox and IE7
Try it anyway coz you never know

If you right click on a blank spot on the top Tuesday, you can select your toolbars from the menu. Or you can do it by clicking on Tools.

Your welcome Tuesday.
After working on the printer; make sure you haven't left a sledge hammer or anything inside, or it will only print half a page.

Just spoken to my friend, and her advice is to take PC back to the guy who installed security... she thinks it would be to hard for me to do. I've not noticed bar was missing till i posted this thread, i need it now to be able to print correctly.
Will have to pay him another £40....which is a lot of money.
Is there anything else i can try first ?
Thanks Tuesday

I have 'hidden' my address bar to show you that yours might be there? Can you see the word 'address' greyed out?
If you can, hover your mouse over the four dots next to the word 'address' until your arrow changes to horizontal with two arrowheads, then drag mouse until your address bar shows.
Any luck?
If not, then try hovering your mouse over the edge of the 'top task bar' until the cursor changes to a vertical arrow with two arrowheads and drag down....hopefully your address bar will now appear?

Ive just clicked C.O.M.O.D.O box, and a faded Address is right at the end of bar....but cant drag it back ?

What is C.O.M.O.D.O box? Is it on your toolbar? Is a screenshot possible? Click Prt Scr key on your keyboard, open Irfanview (do you have that?) Edit tab, paste, then drag your mouse to the part you want us to see, Edit tab, choose Crop File tab, choose Save As Save to your PC Reply to this message, click Browse (just above message window) Find the screenshot, click it, then Open Click Host button, put a tick in the first 'dot' Click Add To Post
Update.....Is Comodo box to do with their toolbar? If so, click on View tab, Toolbars and click on Comodo, which will remove the toolbar, is your address now showing? You may have to drag it as above.

C.O.M.O.D.O is my Firewall. Don't have Ifranview, will i need to install to post a screen shot ?
View> Toolbar> no Comodo showing
I can see greyed out address, but dots are out of view.
Thanks for taking up so much time to help me. Tuesday

You could do a screenshot in Paint Click your Start button, All Programs, Accessories, then open Paint Edit tab, choose Paste Then you would need to crop the part needed.....drag your mouse over the part we need to see. You will see a rectangular dotted line shape surrounding the required part. Right-click, choose Copy to and then save to desktop, but this will be a BMP file (JPG files are better for showing on the internet) I am not good with Paint, but give tat a go and then upload to this thread as explained above. I would recommend Irfanview for future use though.
EDIT after research......In Paint...once you have dragged your mouse over the part you want to crop, right-click inside the 'dotted shape' Choose Cut Click on the File tab, Click New Edit tab, choose Paste File tab, Save As...save as JPG file etc

There are quite a lot of people who have had trouble with IE7. At this stage of the game, I would be inclined to uninstall it. Run C Cleaner and tidy up the system, then reinstall it. Get the browser working properly and them make any changes that need to be done for the printing. I have a feeling that the browser is corrupted and you wont be able to make any adjustments to it.

Thanks Ken but i have IE6 installed. I do keep system clean, just takes me that much longer to learn new tricks.
I tried for a few hours last night to drag box over area i wanted to copy ...but it just wont work, LR instructions are very good so i just don't know where I'm going wrong?
Printers working fine, but cant use (Reply 3) until i get browser sorted out. Truly appreciate you both and all your hard work in trying to help me. Tuesday

When you have opened Paint and pasted in your screenshot, click on the dotted rectangle, next to the star shape, now drag your mouse over screenshot

Sorry Tuesday, I saw IE7 mentioned and thought thats what your using. You could try taking IE6 out in Add & Remove, Windows Components, rebooting and putting the tick back in.
I wasn't suggesting your system is dirty. When removing something you intend to reinstall cleaning up first, helps to prevent corrupted files getting written back in.
I'm sure you will get there eventually and become the worlds leading expert on the subject.
