hello there folks,
I have windows xp which has service pack 3 installed. For approx 10 / 11 days now i dont have any restore points being added to my computer. Normally there would be two per week. I was thinking that perhaps it was becuse i dont have any room on the restore to get them added. I have had it set to 8% , but tonight i set it to 10%...........I think i remember reading some where that microsoft where no longer doing updates for XP. Perhaps thats the reason.........So this is a question about deleteing old restore points to allow new ones to be added. Im sure this question has been asked several times on these boards, but alas cant find where. I am using still internet explorer8....seems ok

Open My Computer and right click on C: drive, Select Properties, General, Disk Cleanup, More Options, Delete all but the last Restore Point. When you leave Windows to make the restore points, they are not always reliable. Your better off making your own, when installing or uninstalling something. Just because Microsoft are going to stop supporting XP, it wont interfere with the way XP works. I dont update XP, but it works OK.

Your welcome Harry.
I get plenty of sleep; I caught a couple of hours on Boxing afternoon, so I should be alright for a few weeks yet.
