It's an L not an I - meaning list USB devices
make sure you type it lowercase though
lsusb
(the first letter being a lowercase L)

I type this "sudo gedit/etc/sane.d/epson.conf" in and it ask for my password put it in and it accepted my password OK then it says "sudo gedit/etc/sane.d/epson.conf command not found"
Any ideas Mikkh Thanks.

The command looks fine, I think your problem is lack of the 'sane' software which generates the 'epson.d' file
Basically you need to install 'sane' first
The author of the article talks about using 'synaptic' to fetch it rather than the 'mintinstall' software, so you'll need to run that first
sudo synaptic
and put 'sane' in the search box
(without the quotes of course)

H! Mikkh, I put sane in synaptic and installed any to do with sane but still got "sudo gedit/etc/sane.d/epson.conf command not found" i shall keep trying Thanks
