Monitor the fan speed

is their a monitor that can monitor the fan speed and the heat from my CPU in Linux Mint.

I have look in synaptic and had a search on the intr web but not found a free one yet.

There's 'GKrellm' for things like that - see top right of screen-shot

If you search for that, you'll probably find alternatives too
