I recently upgraded my MSN Messenger to Windows live 2009. Having seen the monster, I decided I can't be a reactionary every time something new comes along and you had to go with the times and left it in place, although I rarely use it these days. This morning, I got a spam type message that purported to have been left by one of my contacts. How, short of a complete removal, do I stop this happening again?

I have found such Spam can originate from one of your own contacts with a trojan on their PC, I am using Live 2009 without any problems. If you get a purported message of Look at my picture etc then ignore it as its a rather nasty trojan which then propogates itself via your friends list to everybody in the list.

I rarely open such links, unless I am sure of the orgin and can't imagine who could be the culprit.
How do I act on this?

Hey I quite like the spam I get on my MSN account. Only last week I was contacted by three different and very attractive I might say, young ladies from the Ex Soviet Union who had chosen me, yes just me, as they "liiked the looky of mi" and "woold liike to get in tooch with me for a possably relatonship"...what more can I say. Anyone know where I can get free Russian lessons on-line?

You can't be getting them as well...they have picked me out personally from everybody else on the interweb.

I have a beautiful 32 year old Russian Dr, who wants to marry me. She knows I am sensitive; not like Russian men, who don't know how to treat their women. I think she must have got references off my last 2 wives, she knows so much about how wonderful I am.

Amazing how they manage to read job applications and resumees I've never sent in.

When I was in Cairns, Far North Queensland, I had a workmate that I used to socialise with after work hours. He and his girlfriend broke up and the next thing I know, he's going out with a Russian girl. She was too good to be true and both Vickie and I saw right through her. To cut a long story short, they got married about 6 months later. That was over 12 years ago now.
Are they still together you ask ? What do you think ?
