On Tuesday I receieved notification of a 'critical' Windows update KB954430 - XML Core Services, on my laptop, I duly downloaded it. Later in the day when loggin on to my PC said update notification did not appear, and has not done so since. I have searched the PC and this file has not previously been installed either. Has anyone any idea why, and should I download it from MSN?
Both machines run Windows XP Home with SP3 !!

This patch was originally in November 2008 details of problems associated with this update can be found here support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q954430. This seems to be OK on all my PCs runing XP SP3 + all subsequent patches download from Microsoft during normal updating. I ran Belarc Advisor and then used Find inside IE to get details of it. |
