The latest version of Puppy Linux appeared today, so as it's one of my favourite rescue CD's, I had to give it a try. At 100 MB it's amazing what they cram in Much prettier than previous versions, and it's not just good looks that make it worth downloading - that is the default view when you first load it (above) The second screenshot (below) shows the menu and a lesson for other dstros to take note of - it's very well thought out and easy to configure What can I say, I love it

H! Mikkh, ;D
I was thinking that one hundred MB would be ideal to put on a USB Pen is it possible ?
Thanks.

Yes it will run from a USB pen/thumb drive, but.......
Unless the BIOS supports USB booting, you won't get it to run
Modern motherboards should be OK, but older boards probably won't support it

It should have USB as an option in the 'Boot' section normally
What's the motherboard model?

Hi guys thanks for mentioning booting from a pen drive, I have just got a wee notebook with XP on it, and I am using it now I miss having Linux as well and as this notebook has no cd/dvd drive unless I splash out for an external one booting from a pen drive would be an excellent option on this I am definitely going to give this a try and will be delighted if I get it working so I thankyou both for the idea.
