I always think a good way to remember, is to think of the American term for Autumn, and then the phrase...
Spring forward, fall back.

I wish I had somewhere to go, if for no other reason than to be late.
I would even like my obitury to read: The service was a great success; even though the dearly departed didn't show up, until it was all over.
I did turn up at my wake once, but thats a story for another day.

Yes, Spring forward, Fall back - that's how I remember it too.
The Americans do have some strange words, bless em
Fall meaning when the leaves fall I presume - not even close to Autumn is it
and 'faucet' meaning tap - nah, nowhere near
'sidewalk' does at least make sense I suppose, as does 'elevator' and maybe 'movie' but 'faucet' nope, not having it at all

When I login the forum clock shows the same as computer clock and when I logout it's 1 hour behind. Should DST be YES or NO

When we talk about the pavement, we mean the sidewalk. The Americans call the road the pavement. I presume they use paving slabs on the roads, instead of asphelt.

When the Doña Lupita sank Lynnrose, it was reported in the media that the captain went down with his ship. Good old English tradition I suppose, but I'm not that much of a traditionalist. The local school even had a minutes silence at the morning assembly. The papers and the news broadcasts had gone out, before I docked the next day on the rescue ship. All my expat American friends were having a wake in a hotel in the centre of Pueblo Civil. You should have seen their faces, when I walked in. They should have known, I'm not one to miss a good party.

Phoney - Currently observing BST should be YES and revert back to NO in the Autumn when the hour goes back.

Thanks Lynnrose,
I think my adventure days are pretty much over now. Changing the clocks twice a year is about all the adventure I can put up with now. 30 years on the high seas, sorta takes it out of you.
