Great idea Lynnrose ;D I have bookmarked those sites for later and I will cancel the phone books They send out so many every year it must cost a fortune for them and if you can look up the number online then that's a much better idea. I think I have only looked up about two numbers in the last year as with mobile phones we tend to always have most numbers on us at all times.

Lol, sorry Buz, too late for you, but still worth doing so you won't get anymore. I cancelled mine today, so hopefully in time to stop them.

Yes it's ridiculous and must cost them millions - hang on, I wasn't thinking straight, it actually makes them millions with the poor saps who pay to advertise in it/them
I had an entry years ago, which cost me hundreds and bought in practically no extra work. I asked everyone who rung and the local paper accounted for the vast majority.
The reasons being, nobody uses it much anymore and probably most assume that flash advert means high charges.
So yes, I would like to cancel both - cheers sweetheart for posting that
I've got a feeling the outside contractors used to deliver them will just plonk one at every house anyway, and may be even under orders to do just that

You're welcome Mikkh, I hope you're wrong about them delivering the book anyway. We must remember to write on here if we do receive one and then we can complain and demand that they come round and pick it up!

The drawback with using the likes of 118 to find a number is they offer to put you through, you are then paying premium directory enquiry rates for your call; always ask for the number, then hang up and dial it yourself.

Well....guess what just landed on my doorstep? The yellow pages I have just rung and told them to cancel all phonebooks again. 'She' said that I was not on the system, that is why I received a book.
