If you would like to use your own custom avatar, enter the full http:// URL to it in this box. You can specify your own custom width and height for your avatar. Avatars must be no more than 100x100 pixels. This is the message I get when I want to put a picture in on a group I belong to. Can you explain how I do it please? How do I find an to a pic I have on my computer. Sorry to sound so ignorant.

Hi Jane, for avatars with those sizes in mind, u can make one on ur pc using a paint program, resizing to the exact size specified, then u can 'browse to where you've saved on ur pc and upload. Or, u can upload to a site like photobucket or imageshack, and then use the 'img' tag to paste the url . im not sure im making myself clear here...

There is a little freeware program that you can use to create an avatar out of your own picture. I haven't used it much but I think you can set it for the right sizes you want. It's called "A Square Image" if anyone is interested. www.trivista.com/products/asquareimage/
