Click on your friend's name, then click Modify Profile, scroll down to Admin Functions Where it says Member Functions, change it to Administrator, click Modify Profile button

When that is done, got to Admin (tab at top of page) Under Member group, click Modify Group Leave it at Administrator Click Continue Choose any changes you want to make on that page Click Continue Decide what 'powers' to give to that person, make changes from the drop down arrow Click Modify Group button

No Peppercat, just put the code in the footers, the global footers

Will go back there in a mo but as I remember it--when I ticked global footers and then continue--a board opened with footers and headers..saying nowt about globals..

It did actually say it was the global headers and footers--DUH ! Took code out of headers and left it in footers--but it still hasnt brought me the bar.. Mmmh--mayhap I have to close board and re-open--will go try that..

Pep, Login > click on Admin > Customise your forum - Headers and Footers > select board Choose - Global Header/Footer
- Main Header/Footer
They both look the same, the only difference is that MAIN entries only appear on the home page, GLOBAL appear on every page.

Ah!! If you only have a General Board and no others, you can't go Global. You will need at least two boards. ;D

Shades of Catweazle--does nuffin work ? Opened two more boards but all I get is the code appearing above or below the notice boards..depending on whether I tried putting it in footer or then header in desperation..

I just wanted you to check that you had copied the 'whole' code correctly...for example, that v that is showing after </script> should not be there
|
|
|
Post by peppercat on Jan 6, 2009 20:38:06 GMT
I do normally check for v's when I copy and paste--I know sometimes when you ctrl and v it dont take first time..
Should I be trying the second code ? minus that v of course ?

Post by Lynnrose on Jan 6, 2009 21:01:12 GMT
Both codes are the same, but minus the v...try again
