I joined Multiply when MSN started to promote it, thinking most groups would go there, although I failed to see how any group like CIT could make a BLOG work for discussions.
I haven't been in any of the groups I belong to in there for ages, no point when I can get them elsewhere and easier to read. So, I was surprised when one of the most astute managers decided to move there and nowhere else, but on joining (after a struggle) I found they had improved immensly. Not enough to make me a fan, because I don't like scrolling across every line to read a message, but improved.
It seems that the migration of so many of the groups MSN wanted to move there have gone to other sites has forced them to upgrade their style to something nearly usable.

I still pop over to Multiply when I get notification that someone has posted, but I can't see any improvement, but there again I don't stay long enough to check it out I guess.

I closed my personal site a while ago, just could'nt get comfortable with it, but I do still have an occasional look in at the MultiplyCIT site.

One of my MSN groups has just migrated and it looks a lot better than I expected; shame I've got used to the style used in here, Yuku and Aimoo etc now. Lol.

I find that proboards betters Yuku and Aimoo, as it does not have such invasive adverts like between messages posted. This is so much better with just the advert at the top of the page.

I have seen people complain about Proboards format. The control panel can be a bit confusing for admin, but I don't think it could be any easier for the members. Anything different will have its adversaries, but what do you do when your hands are tied?? Multiply's security was nonexistent, they did tighten up, but too little too late. I still have my website there, and its great for a bit of chat and even for PMing. Group posting is almost nonexistent now.

Well what an interesting discussion. As far as I am concerned I much prefer Proboards to any of the others, it is 'clean' and easy and so customisable as Lynnrose has demonstrated admirably. I certainly would not consider anything else on a permanent basis although I do pop into Mutiply periodically.
