There I am, wandering round Birmingham today, when I suddenly realised I was hungry ! My favourite 'sub of the day' was yesterday (meatballs) and I didn't fancy paying a pound+ extra just because it was a different day, so I went looking for alternatives I wandered into several shops, but couldn't see anything I fancied and not having the cast iron gut of my youth anymore, the very sight of 'Greggs' pastry offerings was giving me indigestion, so that was a no no too. I wandered into 'Tescos' and nothing impressed me that much there either - till I spotted the 'reduced for quick sale' items. If I can't have something I really want, something cheap will do. I got a cheese and tomato sandwich and two cream doughnuts for 83p This was already 'bargain of the day' but it got better ..... I hands over a pound coin and instead of 17p change, I got 57p I didn't notice till I got out of the shop, and there was a massive queue, so I thought sod it - enjoy your cheap meal - and I did
