I'm all for using Linux software obviously, but having just downloaded it and ran it on virtualbox, I'm very underwhelmed by what it has to offer compared to others in a similar vein
My 'bag of tricks' which I carry to outside jobs contains the following:-
Various copies of Puppy Linux (mostly in case one doesn't boot on someones aging optical drive, rather than for any different features) I use that a lot, hence the insurance
Falcon Fours UBCD (latest version 6.1) It's basically Hirens Boot CD on acid! I don't use it often to be honest because I've already used one of the others usually. But if I'm putting one in my jacket pocket 'just in case' it's usually the one I go for
Parted Magic (used to be free now $4.99 (£3.06 at current exchange rates) Partition and cloning specialist, but it's a full Linux live system too
Spotmau Bootsuite A windows 7 PE rather than an XP one the others use. It's commercial but you can get it cheap on Ebay. If you find the glut of software in Hirens/Falcon4 confusing or don't feel comfortable with Linux software, this is probably all you need for most jobs

Thanks mikkh.
It seemed good, but equally I couldn't quite understand why I hadn't heard of it previously.
In your list I only have Falcon Four. I confess I initially treated it with some caution, mainly because of the number of tools that seemed obsolete. But once I got my head around the concept I wouldn't be without it.
I would rather like to build an updated version, perhaps removing some of the excess baggage and stocking fillers. I've been working on it, on an off.
I'll take a closer look at Trinity to see if there's anything useful at all.
Thanks for the feedback
