My wife's laptop has been giving out this error repeatedly over the last few days. It generally is followed by either a shut down or a total crash.
From the event Viewer, the text is:
This is the same machine which was having problems detailed here: computertypes.proboards.com/thread/7615/w7-laptop
I did a reset as suggested by mikkh. The reset went well and I don't think that is the problem. The programs, reinstalled are Firefox, Skype and Thunderbird, plus her photos. I also put a file containing the various tools suggested by mikkh a while ago, Rkill, ADWcleaner Ccleaner, MWB and a few others. None, apart from Ccleaner has been used.
I will be more than grateful to anyone who can suggest what the problems might be.
If it's really bad, a hole to hide in might be handy.
