Originally made for Windows Vista, but now for Windows 7 and 8 too (in fact only for 7 and 8 as far as I can tell - no Vista or earlier versions of Windows)

[watch what you're clicking if you haven't got an adblocker installed - it's NOT the big green download button you press!]
It's the 'download locations' in yellow writing at the top that you need to be paying attention to - this goes for all majorgeeks files
OK, so we all know that Windows likes to second guess you and makes big assumptions (like you're on a network) without asking.
This leads to lots of running services that aren't needed/wanted that are slowing you down
There are plenty of service tweaking help sites on the internet like the excellent Black Viper one, but if you're not technically minded and prepared to troll
through pages and pages of dry facts and figures, then go through a long winded manual process of changing the various services - well it's not exactly fun
I was about to go through this process again myself having just reinstalled Windows 7, but I thought there's got to be an easier way, let's see what Google comes up with
If you've safely navigated the download traps on 'Majorgeeks' there's just one more obstacle to overcome. The install offers to give you lot's of extra software - at least 5 I counted
But there's a handy 'decline' button bottom left to get past them luckily
Lot's of options as you can see and a helpful wizard type dialogue to get you started - yes/no options for whether you want to use 'defender' etc
It's going to save me a lot of time when doing fresh installs anyway
