first let me apologise for the late reply.go to xbmchub helpers forum at the top of the page it says install xbmc click on this and pick out you're o/s and download. Now here is the tricky bit once downloaded you will have to decide on wether to use xbmc debs or unity devs.In xbmchub forum you can read through the add ons for xbmc that are available and xunitytalk forums for their available add ons. Both sights give instructions for their separate downloads.

Both sights have a video to follow for the downloads, the reason for for the two sights is,6 months ago there was only one download sight then an argument between developers caused a split now we have two sights with different developers ,there is very little difference in the sights but my own preference is the xunity download my granddaughter is with xbmchub,(fusion).Whichever you choose you will not be disappointed .

XBMC is basically an open source version of Windows Media Center (only better). It's available for Linux, MAC and Windows and various smartphones and tablets.
I remember playing with it years ago in Linux, but I had a pretty poor PC at the time and it ran very slowly so I never got round to using it much. A friend of mine came round a few months ago and was all excited about it on his tablet and after showing me (mostly wrongly) how to set it up, I did a bit of delving myself.
The legality of the various add-ons is - shall we say, open to debate, but the base program is perfectly legal and comes with a few things already installed in the Linux version to get you started.
It's not as geeky as some open source programs I've used and it does try to be user friendly, but you'll find yourself asking Mr Google for help fairly soon to get the best out of it.
Thanks for the 'xunity' hint Benrymnd, I just watched a few old episodes of The Big Bang Theory, one of the better comedies to come from across the pond
