I found that power saver cuts the computing power down and its like peddling a bike up hill. I dont think you save anything, because it takes a lot longer to do anything. If you do a bit of work and clear off and have a cup of tea or a jam butty, then balanced will save you power. If like me you are either using the computer or shut down, then balanced and high power are much the same. I cant get much more than 3 hours work out of my laptop on balanced or high power. As I didn't buy an expensive laptop to turn it into a snail, I simply bought a second battery. Six hours is more than I need to get me back to a power supply. My mini goes for about 6 hours, I've taken that all over the country and never run out of juice yet.
