Someone I play online games with suggested I try this to make recordings of some of the things I do in games. If you have any sort of life of course, you won't be interested in online games but this software is really good for many applications. debut-video-capture-software.software.informer.com/It captures a video recording of the screen. To be honest, recording games, the video is a bit jerky. This can be reduced with some tweeking, but not eliminated. Recording anything else is very smooth. Your web cam for example. You can make all the porno movies of yourself that you've ever fancied!! (Just joking ) If you have any private movies which you've saved on DVD and you'd like to copy, it is good at that. I found that the video acceleration needs to be turned right off though and the only player I know that does that is Windows Media Player. The file sizes do seem extraordinarily large. Not sure what that's about but might be a problem if you need to email a long recording. It claims to respect the various copy right protect facilities. I haven't tested these and won't. I respect the law of course, but I fear the retribution of the movie companies even more, than to risk it! Anyway. it might need some tweeking. And it's free.
