Last week I had to have my Windows 7 Home re-formatted on my desktop PC. Whereas everything is now working ok, I have one problem which is that ANY web based site has text at severly lower size than previously. Obviously I can get round this with Ctrl + but it is not an ideal situation.
Any help with this engma would be appreciated.

If it's only websites, it's probably just your browser font set wrong. You should be able to change that within it's settings. This page tells where to change it on various browsers. sbpoley.home.xs4all.nl/main/adjust.html

Roz, thanks - believe me I have been everywhere to solve this problem and yes, I can alter font settings but it is only a temporary solution. In Maxthon one can utilise what is called "The Passport" which will synchronise settings betwen all one's machines. My laptop is fine, my PC is the problem. It was OK until the re-format. Even Internet Explorer produces the same enigma.

OK sorry Buzzy.
I take it it's not your resolution if it's only web pages, so I've no more suggestions I'm afraid. Not that I have Win 7 anyway, maybe somebody who does might have more ideas. Hope you get it sorted.

Lynnrose, Pete - thanks for trying to help. I have tried all the "zooming" options and they work to some degree but some distortion occurs as a result. I am convinced this is some sort of Windows problem which has only occured since the re-format, my laptop is absolutely fine. I am taking my machine into my techy guy who re-formatted the machine tomorrow, hopefully he will sort it out.

Things are never quite the same after a reinstall, but saying that, I have found the windows 7 backup really good. I have used it on my own desktop, and also my wifes pc, successfully. Anyway Buzzy, do hope the teccy guys can sort it for you, let us know how you get on. Pete.

Pete, just returning your message. I have managed to sort it out now, it was a "tweak" in Maxthon, all is now well.
