I'm sorry but even I must defend Microsoft there - what a false totally forced situation that is.
Somebody has deliberately tried to run as many programs as possible to make it look worse than it is
82 processes !! get real
And surely if you're running chkdsk, it's going to be a resource hog by it's very function - it's thrashing the HD for gawds sake, which is what it's supposed to do to check it. And wouldn't any half sane person schedule a disk check for the next reboot, or at least close all open programs?
It's the sort of silly sensationalism I'm used to seeing from people trying to discredit Linux

Check Disk cant work on the system drive while Windows is working. Check Disk works on C: before Windows boots. Someone has started Check Disk on a secondary drive and taken a screen shot of the Task Man. If Check Disk started on C: in Windows, it would crash the system. You cant play cards while the dealer is still shuffling the cards.
