The orange disk with a white triangle in it on the toolbar is Media Player, click it and bring up the player and then right click on the toolbar. This will bring you up a menu and select Tools, within Tools you will find Options and there you go.

Sorry I cant help you there, your the first person I have met who wants to play with Media Centre. Cut and paste the files to another partition, until you can find out how to do it properly. I've always moved My Documents to another partition in XP, but not found a way of doing it in Win7 yet. I'm still living in hopes of finding a way though.

I think you can do it if you use a custom set up, just had a quick look and in stage 2 of the set up it gives you an option to manually select shared folders including network ones.

Move the location of (my) Documents, which should contain the MC folders
It was a simple right click 'My Documents' pick properties and use the move option in XP
It's nearly the same in '7' but with additional steps to get there
Start/Documents/libraries/Documents/My Documents
And right click 'my documents' when you get there and pick properties then the location tab at the top
You should now see the move option
It transfers all the contents to the new partition
You can still use drag and drop and pick pictures/downloads/whatever as a saving location in all other programs, but they go automatically to the new location on D/E/F or whatever you chose when you used move

Thanks for that Mikk, I have moved My Documents to another HDD. I was trying to move the whole Library and couldn't find a way. At least I have got part of it off the C:/. The Beast has only got a 120 gig C:/ so I dont like to store a lot on it. I've got the Paging File running on a 60 gig SSD, to save space as well. Everthing gets saved to the big SATA II drives, but I get a bit fed up with having to move stuff around. XP was a bit more straight forward and I'd had a lot more practice with it. I do like Win7, but still got a lot to learn. Still its when you stop learning, that the real trouble starts.
