I would like to Pin "My Documents" to the Windows 7 taskbar, I have it as a shortcut on the desktop at the moment, but it is one of those that will not pin in the normal fashion. Is there an 'easy way' to achieve this?

Buzzy only executable programs can exist on what used to be the quick launch bar in win 7 , but I have found the instructions which will allow you to put the quick launch on the task bar here www.technixupdate.com/add-shortcut-to-folder-in-taskbar-in-windows-7/Its a bit long winded as there are several operations before you achieve it, but once you have got it done its a peece of cake

Buzzy, What is the advantage of pinning the "My Documents" folder to the Win 7 task bar as opposed to using the shortcut on the desktop.
I've unpinned everything from the task-bar and made shortcuts instead. Have I failed here somehow?

Shaggy, I would say the reason is to keep the desktop clear of messy icons. Buz, you there?

I keep things like notebook, snipping tool and even the calculator on the taskbar. Then I've got them handy while using full screen. I think its one of those things thats down to personal choice and different people will put different things on the taskbar. I wouldn't load the taskbar right up, but its nice to have certain stuff in plain sight at all times.
